Myocytolysis (33000-54740)
Myocytes adjacent to an area of infarction may have a "moth-eaten" vacuolation of the cytoplasm referred to as myocytolysis. This vacuolar degeneration is indicative of severe ischemia and is not specific for myocardial infarction.
