Laser Capture Microdissection Laboratory
Laser Capture Microdissection (LCM) is a tool for increasing the sensitivity and specificity of molecular assays. It provides a method for purifying cells of interest by capturing them on a thermolabile film. This method of contact capture maintains tissue morphology and the integrity of the bio-molecules (RNA, DNA, proteins) within the cells.
Services offered:
- Consultation
- Cryosectioning and paraffin sectioning and staining for LCM
- Laser capture microdissection
- Nucleic acid purification including QA
- All reagents supplied by the LCM laboratory
Instrumentation:
- Veritas Laser Capture Microdissection System (fluorescence equipped)
- Cryostat and Microtome
- Agilent Bioanalyzer
*Charges are dependent on complexity, please contact Amy Ladd with any questions or to schedule any services
