March 21, 2008

Carlton Cooper, PhD, Assistant Professor, Biological Sciences Department, University of Delaware, recently presented the Pathology grand rounds lecture for faculty, residents and staff.

Dr. Cooper's topic, "Bone Marrow Endothelial Cells: Stromal Education, Diversity, and Prostate Cancer Bone Metastasis," is highlighted in the following educational objectives:

  • Describe how endothelial cells are educated by stromal factors in the microenvironment.
  • Discuss the regulation of reticulocalbin1, an endoplasmic reticulum residing protein, unique subcellular distribution by an inflammatory cytokine.
