Carlton Cooper, PhD, Assistant Professor, Biological Sciences Department, University of Delaware, recently presented the Pathology grand rounds lecture for faculty, residents and staff.
Dr. Cooper's topic, "Bone Marrow Endothelial Cells: Stromal Education, Diversity, and Prostate Cancer Bone Metastasis," is highlighted in the following educational objectives:
- Describe how endothelial cells are educated by stromal factors in the microenvironment.
- Discuss the regulation of reticulocalbin1, an endoplasmic reticulum residing protein, unique subcellular distribution by an inflammatory cytokine.
- Describe how the diversity of endothelial cells impacts therapeutic outcome.
- Describe Prostate Cancer research and bone metastasis at the recently established Center for Translational Cancer Research.
