GRAND ROUNDS PRESENTATION

"Anemia of Prematurity:  Pathogenesis & Transfusion Management"


During Grand Rounds Friday September 24, 2004,
Ronald G. Strauss, MD, Professor, Pathology & Pediatrics, University of Iowa College of Medicine presented a continuing medical education lecture covering the following educational objectives:
  • To discuss the Pathogenesis of the Anemia of Prematurity
  • To explain the Transfusion Management of the Anemia of Prematurity
  • To recall considerations pertaining to the use of Recombinant  Erythropoietin to test the anemia of prematurity
