Shella Mongia, MBBS, Hematopathology Fellow, VCUHS Department of Pathology, presented this week's grand rounds lecture for faculty, residents and staff.

Dr. Mongia's topic, "Molecular Genetic Analysis of Lymphoid Neoplasms: Gene Rearrangement Studies" is highlighted in the following educational objectives:

  • To compare and understand different molecular techniques available for assessment of clonality in lympho-proliferative disorders.
  • Pitfalls and usefulness of molecular analysis in lymphmas.
  • Indications and contradictions of molecular testing in lympho-proliferative disorders.
