| Paleopathology Case 39 Diagnostic pathology is aided by knowing the society and environment in which the patient lives. One of the greatest difficulties in paleopathology diagnostics is the general lack of a clinical history, or lack of a thorough understanding of the times and the society in which the person lived. On occasion, we do have diagnostic aids that are found in the grave along with the body. One such aid was this kit containing items used to perform a certain ritual act.
