Paleopathology Case 50

This material was excavated in the Azapa Valley of northern Chile from the grave of a male adult who belonged to the San Miguel culture. The material consists of black, flat, seeds; a hollow piece of bird bone; a small, carved wood tablet; a hollow, stoppered reed tube; and a brush. This was all wrapped in a piece of cloth and tied with a string. It dates from around 1,000 before present.
