The Conservation Medicine Program
for the VCU Inger and Walter Rice Environmental Center

The Conservation Medicine Program is a newly emerging multidisciplinary program focused on the interactions of wildlife, human and environmental health. Diseases, anthropogenic activities, climate, and environmental conditions all have consequences for both wildlife and people.

In this program faculty from both the Monroe Park campus and the MCV campus collaborate to investigate and understand these events. In addition to the research components of this program, effort is also devoted to education and educational outreach.
